Agri and rural lender Nabard has disbursed Rs 12,767 crore this week to State Cooperative Banks (StCBs) and Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) across the country to increase their funds during the ongoing lockdown circumstances for extending credit to agronomists.

Nabard has put forth this aid to RRBs and State Cooperative Banks in the shape of refinance. It has extended this provision in 15 states including Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.

Nabard has put forth a lump sum of Rs.30,021 crore to the rural banks since the mid of March 2020 during which the lockdown was declared in numerous states as a prevention of COVID-19 pandemic’s spread.
