(Sandhya Jha, Intern Journalist): Launch of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and Crew Dragon spacecraft was postponed due to bad weather in the US. It was scheduled to fly from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center with two American Astronauts at two o’clock on the night of May 27, but the mission was halted 16 minutes earlier. It will now be sent into space on 30 May. Looking at the corona, NASA had appealed to people not to come out of their homes to watch the launch. However, President Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka Trump arrived at the Kennedy Space Center with her husband, Jared, and both children.

Ivanka later gave information about postponing the mission. A user tweeted on this, hoping that Jared would not have spread the infection, as humans do. A photo was also posted in which Jared was seen without a mask. However, Ivanka and both of her children were wearing masks. At the same time, Trump also arrived on this occasion without a mask.

This was the first time since 2011 that the US was about to send American astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) with the help of indigenous rockets from their country. Actually, NASA is going to send astronauts to ISS through Elon Musk’s private company Space X’s Dragon Spacecraft. The crew of Space X is mounted on a Dragon Spacecraft Falcon rocket. This will allow American Astronauts Robert Benken and Douglas Hurley to be present. Both have already traveled to the International Space Station.

Mission has been in operation for 20 years

NASA has been planning to abandon crew movement on the International Space Station (ISS) since the early 2000s. Under this, he started a program. This would include private firms.

The US stopped sending vehicles in 2011. After this, American space missions had to resort to flights to Russia. Its expenditure was constantly increasing. After this, NASA approved Space X for a space mission with huge financial support. In 2012, Elon Musk’s company sent its capsule to space for the first time.

After this, American businessman Elon Musk’s SpaceX came out with aerospace sector giant Boeing. Elon Musk created the SpaceX company in 2002. The aim is to reduce the cost of transportation in space. Also, to make human settlements on Mars.
