Eid will be celebrated tomorrow

(Juhi Aishwary, Journalist):  Eid ul Fitr is one of the most sacred Muslim festivals celebrated worldwide. People in India and Arab countries very eagerly show the moon in the evening of the day before Eid. Eid is celebrated in Kerala and Jammu and Kashmir today. The rest of the country will have Eid-ul-Fitr on Monday 25 May. The time of seeing the moon in the world varies, so the date of celebrating Eid is also up and down. In the rest of the country, now on May 24, after seeing the moon on Sunday, May 25, 2020, on Monday, the holy festival Eid will be celebrated. 

The moon could not be seen on 23 May. Therefore, after seeing the moon on 24 May, Eid will be celebrated on Monday, 25 May. That means Rosadars who have been fasting for 30 days will have to wait for one more day for Eid. Also, on the 31st day, on 24th May, fasting will be held.

In Mangalore, a youth told that we are following all the instructions given by the government. We never thought that we would celebrate Eid like this. Everything will be alright one day. We have taken a pledge that this time we will celebrate Eid only with our family members and will not go to any relative’s house.

People in Jammu and Kashmir are celebrating Eid. At the Jama Masjid in Poonch on this occasion, some people followed the physical distance and offered prayers. All the people in the state are following the government guidelines.

-In Malappuram, Kerala, people performed Id prayers at their homes as a precaution to prevent the coronavirus. People are following the lockdown and all necessary guidelines issued.

Eid is celebrated today in Jammu and Kashmir. Only those connected with essential services are allowed to move between lockdowns, shops closed. People are celebrating Eid by staying in their homes. 

Eid is celebrated in Kerala today. Juma Masjid in Thiruvananthapuram is closed; people will offer Eid prayers in their homes.

Importance of Eid ul-Fitr

In the Pak month of Ramadan, a person tolerates hunger and thirst in the summer, in the same way, all situations that occur in life have to be tolerated. Eid ul-Fitr understands the spirit of renunciation, the festival suggests that one should sacrifice one’s desires for humanity, so as to build a better society. One should always live with brotherhood so that there are happiness and peace in every household.

According to the Holy Quran, after giving fast in the month of Ramjan, Allah bestows and rewards his bandits. Gives and rewards. This day of Bakhshish and Inam is called Eid-ul-Fitr. On this day, people draw out a special amount called Zakat (donation) to help the poor and the needy. This zakat meets their needs and thereby fulfills the purpose of equalizing this festival.
