(Milcah Anila, Intern Journalist) Hyderabad: Doctors at Nizamabad District Government Hospital are credited with operating on a pregnant woman who came in with a corona positive and keeping the mother and baby safe.

A pregnant woman from Jaitapur village in the Yadapalli zone went to a private hospital in the district headquarters on May 21 for tests.

She was tested positive for Covid. She was rushed to the Government General Hospital in critical condition. Medical tests were done there. The doctors noticed that the amniotic fluid was reduced and decided to operate immediately. The corona was infected and surgery was performed with all due care. This is a rare operation in the Telugu states.

The woman gave birth to two boys and a girl. Two of them were found to be underweight and given special treatment. Corona tests for infants turned out to be negative. Now that the mother is also negative, everyone is sent home. “Everyone is healthy,” hospital superintendent Dr. Pratim Raj said.
